Tiny Apartment Webseries Gets A Pilot Order From Comedy Central

Comedy Central continues to branch out with regards to original programming, adding on to series like The Daily Show, Key & Peele and Tosh.0 with scripted comedies like Workaholics, and possibly coming soon, a show based on the webseries Tiny Apartment.

Deadline has reported that Jessie Cantrell, Mike O'Gorman and Pat Driscoll's webseries Tiny Apartment has received a pilot order from Comedy Central. The project stars Cantrell and O'Gorman as a couple living in a small apartment in New York City. Driscoll plays their best friend Pat, and there are apparently some eclectic neighbors in the mix. Tristram Shapeero is on board to direct (in addition to executive producing along with Cantrell, O'Gorman & Driscoll, and Joe Kelly, Wendy Willis, Jimmy Miller and Sam Hansen).

The first episode of the webseries (below) introduces us to the happy couple, as they attempt to have a romantic dinner. Their night involves a Princess Leia costume and a lot of blood…

My biggest laughs came from Mike's "You look… commanding and moody…" in response to her non-slave-Leia Leia costume, and "It's like a Saw movie on your face." I like to think that if this webseries had debuted after HBO's Game of Thrones' first season, we would have also seen a joke about her looking a bit like Daenerys with that horse's heart. Alas, Tiny Apartment came a little bit before GoT. Either way, funny stuff. We'll have to wait and see if Comedy Central decides to give the pilot a series order.
