Touch Season 2 Premiere Date Moved Back Again
Remember how disappointed you were when you found out you had to wait a few more months for the return of Touch? Well tack another week's worth of disappointment onto that because Fox has moved the drama series' return date back again. This time, it's just a week's delay, but still, given that the show was supposed to return in October, the added wait is likely to be a disappointment for fans who are eagerly awaiting the suspenseful show's return.
Fox's news came in the form of an announcement declaring a "special two-hour Season Two premiere"… that's happening Friday, February 8, which you may note is a week after the last new release date set, which was February 1, moved from the original return date of October 26. At the very least, moving the Season 2 premiere back a week and then bundling it with the second hour gives fans a double helping of the show when it comes back, and it should keep the series running on schedule after that.
Touch stars Kiefer Sutherland as Martin Bohm, father to Jake (David Mazouz), a boy who doesn't speak but has a unique gift with numbers and can see how they connect people across the globe. Also among the cast are Maria Bello and newcomer Saxon Sharbino, who plays Amelia, Bello's character's also-gifted daughter. We've seen a fair amount of casting news for the anticipated series' second season, most recently D.B. Sweeney, who appeared in the eighth season of 24. He joins Anne Wersching and John Boyd among the 24 veterans set to appear in Touch's second season, which officially (for now, anyway) premieres Friday, Feb. 8 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Here's Fox's official description for Season 2.
