Did you miss ABC's broadcast of the excellent and sure-to-be-a-classic Disney Pixar Halloween special Toy Story of TERROR!? Well, rest assured, it's going to air again, though you probably won't find it on ABC. Additional airings of the special are scheduled for Disney's cable channels, with the first re-airing scheduled for this Saturday, as ABC Family's 13 Nights of Halloween event kicks off.
Toy Story of TERROR! has Buzz, Woody and some of Bonnie's other toys on a road trip together. When Bonnie and her mother have car trouble, they're forced to stay the night at a motel. The toys eventually wander away from the protection of their suitcase and soon find themselves on a spooky and exciting adventure. I happened to love it. I laughed, I smiled, and I may have even teared up a little. I have a soft spot for Jessie, what can I say? You can read my review of the half-our special here.
So when's it airing again? The knowledgable folks over at WDWInfo.com list the schedule of Toy Story of Terror re-airings as follows:
So, there are multiple opportunities to watch and re-watch this wonderful gem of a special between now and Halloween… and even once after Halloween!
And since we're on the subject of Halloween specials, as I mentioned, ABC Family kicks off their 13 Nights of Halloween programming line-up this Saturday. It all starts with a mini-marathon of one of ABC's more under appreciated comedies (The Middle), and then eases us into Halloween-ish stuff, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, followed by Batman and Batman Returns. Not very Halloweeny unless we consider the director -- Tim Burton -- which leads us to Corpse Bride and The Nightmare Before Christmas. There we go! We knew you'd get us there, ABC Family.
