Toy Story Of TERROR! Images Tease Woody, Jessie, Buzz And Combat Carl

October is nearly upon us and with it comes Halloween and all of the spooky-scary specials that TV has to offer, including the anticipated Toy Story of Terror, Disney-Pixar's Toy Story Halloween special, which is set to air on ABC in mid-October. ABC released some photos from the special, including the one above, which shows us Trixie, Mr. Potato Head, Rex, Mr. Pricklepants, Buzz Lightyear and Combat Carl.
Earlier this month, we saw a trailer that teased more humor than terror, and now we have some photos, a couple of which show us Carl Weather's character Combat Carl… or Combat Carl Jr.? He's voicing both.
Toy Story of Terror is a spooky new tale featuring the Toy Story characters, including Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), Jessie (Joan Cusack), Mr. Pricklepants (Timothy Dalton), Mr. Potato Head (Don Rickles), Rex (Wallace Shawn), Trixie (Kristen Schaal), and Combat Carl (Carl Weathers). The story centers around a road trip that takes an unexpected turn for the worse when a detour leads them to a roadside motel. "After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate."
I'm thinking Combat Carl will prove to be particularly helpful in securing the location and tracking down this lost toy. And of everyone mentioned, I expect Rex to be the most terrified. I'd even suggest that he's the toy to go missing, but the last time he was separated from his friends, he actually ended up having a really good time, so maybe not.
What I love about these post-Toy Story specials is that they give us a chance to check in with Buzz, Woody and the rest of the Toy Story crew in their post-Toy Story lives. They're presumably all still living with Bonnie. And the sight of Buzz Lightyear sitting near Jessie makes me wonder if these two aren't an item already…
Yeah, I've probably put too much thought into this. What can I said, I'm a Toy Story fan!
Here's the previously released teaser, and you can see some high-res images in the gallery below.

At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way).
