Trace Adkins And Kristin Chenoweth To Host American Country Awards On Fox
Fans of Trace Adkins and/or Kristin Chenoweth will appreciate this news. He’s a little bit country, she’s a little bit everything (and halfway to an EGOT). Together they’ll host the American Country Awards, which will air on Fox on December 5th.
Trace Adkins hosted the inaugural event last year. If you’re not familiar with his music, you may remember him from the first season of Celebrity Apprentice or from the film The Lincoln Lawyer. He was also the voice of Elvin on King of the Hill. At the second annual American Country Awards, Adkins will be joined by singer/actress Kristin Chenoweth. With an extensive career in theater, Chenoweth certainly knows her way around a stage. The Emmy and Tony winning performer is also throwing her hat in the country music ring with her upcoming album, “Some Lessons Learned,” which will definitely help her fit in at the event.
Fox says the American Country Awards is the only country music awards show that offers fans the chance to vote for their favorite artists in traditional categories and “previously unrecognized areas of the business,” which includes touring. No nominees, performers or presenters have been announced yet, however, going by last year’s ceremony, which included performances by Adkins, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Easton Corbin, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Reba, Blake Shelton, Steel Magnolia, Josh Turner, The Band Perry and Uncle Kracker, it’s likely viewers will get to see some of Country Music’s A-list during this year’s event.
The American Country Awards will air live from Las Vegas on Monday, December 5th at 8:00 p.m. ET live/PT tape-delayed on Fox.
