USA Announces Psych's Season 7 Premiere Date
USA’s Psych has finally gotten a Season 7 premiere date. The network’s popular show will begin airing on February 27, 2013, in a season that will feature several landmarks, including a wedding, a musical episode, and a Clue reunion. The show will also reach its 100th episode next year.
Usually, by Season 7 a show is a veteran, and has sort of stopped experimenting with format. However, This doesn’t seem to be the case at all for Psych and I think it’s safe to say a good number of people are highly anticipating the new season. At the San Diego Comic Con this summer, a panel revealed the Clue episode would run some gags from the original movie. Also, the musical episode will be a two-hour endeavor and will feature some interesting guest stars. Psych is throwing all caution to the wind with Season 7 and it could really pay off.
Season 6 of Psych did extremely well on USA, becoming the network’s most highest watched series in the important 18-49 demographic, as well as gaining in overall viewers. This is pretty impressive, considering the program is the longest running original program airing on the channel. Season 7 will feature some gimmicky-but-interesting premises, and those premises really seem like they could work. I, for one, haven’t caught the show since Season 2, and I know I will be tuning in.
USA’s Psych begins airing on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 10 p.m. ET.
