Unforgettable To Return In April, CBS Sets Premiere For Bad Teacher
CBS has lined up the premiere date for their new comedy Bad Teacher, along with the return date of Unforgettable, which will be back with new episodes in April. CBS is also set to do a bit of schedule shifting for Two and a Half Men and The Crazy Ones, both of which air on Thursday nights. Effective February 27, The Crazy Ones will air Thursday at 9:30 p.m. for the duration of its first season run. Two and a Half Men will move to the 9:00 p.m. timeslot.
As for Bad Teacher, CBS has that one set to arrive in April. Inspired by the 2011 feature comedy, Bad Teacher is a single-camera comedy starring Ari Graynor as an inappropriate, fearless and unapologetic former trophy wife who's on the hunt for a new husband and in need of money. She decides that posing as a teacher at a fancy middle school is the fastest way to get herself back to her once comfortable lifestyle. CBS has the comedy set to premiere Thursday, April 24 at 9:30 p.m., by which point The Crazy Ones will have finished its 22-episode first season. The Robin Williams/Sarah Michelle Gellar comedy will wrap up April 17.
CBS hasn't given us much more than a glimpse of Bad Teacher just yet, other than these images of Graynor looking decidedly out of place in a school environment...
But if it follows the movie in terms of its lead -- Cameron Diaz played the titular "Bad Teacher" in the 2011 comedy -- we should probably expect Graynor's character to be superficial and behaviorally unfit to be around children, hopefully in a funny way. We'll find out in a couple of months.
As for Unforgettable, the drama -- which stars Poppy Montgomery as an NYPD detective with a rare condition that allows her to remember every detail of every moment of her life, -- was renewed for a third season last fall, at which time it was reported that the series would return this Summer. That may still be the case, but the announced return date of Friday, April 4 at 8:00 p.m. is actually for the remainder of Season 2's 13-episode order. Just to confirm that, the captions for the two photos below specify that the remaining six episodes of Season 2 will begin airing in April:
