Unsupervised Preview: New FX Animated Comedy Premieres January 2012
Set to join Archer as another animated comedy on FX is Unsupervised. The series is executive produced by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Rob Rosell, Scott Marder, and David Hornsby and based on this trailer, it looks like it’ll fit right in on FX.
Slowly but surely over the last decade, and thanks in large part to Adult Swim and Fox’s animation domination line-up on Sunday nights, animated comedies have begun to make their way across network and basic cable television. FX started with Archer, and come this January, they’ll Unsupervised hits the line-up. The series follows two best-friend teens named Gary and Joel who lack parental guidance. The involvement of some of the Sunny writers is just as appealing as the excellent voice-cast, which includes Justin Long, Kristen Bell, Romany Malco, Fred Armisen, Kailin Olson, and Alexa Vega, in addition to Rob Rosell and David Hornsby.
Check out the trailer below for a look at the series, which debuts January 2012 on FX.
