The Walking Dead Sets Comic-Con Plans Ahead Of Season 5
To say that The Walking Dead has a big presence at Comic-Con in San Diego would probably be an understatement. Between the popularity of the AMC drama and the comic book series on which the zombie show is based, there's no shortage of Walking Dead fans at Comic-Con. So it's a wise choice that the convention would host the series' panel in the largest venue at the convention center. Once again, The Walking Dead's comic-con panel will be held at Hall H, as was the case last year.
AMC announced the details today, including where the panel will take place, who is expected to appear on the panel, and where/when the panel will take place, as well as the scheduled autograph session. Get the details below:
Unsurprisingly, Chris Hardwick is moderating the panel. It may not be the only panel Hardwick ends up moderating at Comic-Con this year, but this one is particularly fitting, not only because of past TWD SDCC panels, but because of his involvement in the series as host of Talking Dead.
No mention of a trailer in the "What" section there, but if this year's panel follows tradition, we'll get our first good look at Season 5 of the hit zombie drama. Here's hoping! In the meantime, AMC is already beginning to build some Walking Dead momentum as we head toward Comic-Con. The network aired a full series Walking Dead marathon this past weekend for July 4, along with a special episode of Chris Hardwick's Walking Dead talk show Talking Dead.
Tonight, AMC will air the first of two documentary specials focused on the making of The Walking Dead, including behind-the-scenes looks at special effects and what goes on at zombie school. While we wait for that, take a look at the clip AMC released from Season 5 after the jump...
