The Wanted Reality Show To Air On E! This June

Fans of the English-Irish boy band The Wanted will likely rejoice at the news that the music group is set to be featured in a new reality show, produced by none other than Ryan Seacrest, whose producing credits include Keeping Up with the Kardashians (and the numerous spin-offs), as well as E!'s Married to Jonas. With Seacrest's involvement in mind, it isn't surprising at all to learn that this Wanted reality show will air on E!.

A little background info on the group, for those who aren't familiar with them: The Wanted consists of five guys from across the pond (Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran). Among its popular songs since the group's formation in 2009, "Glad You Came," Heart Vacancy" and "Lose My Mind."

Here's one of their hit songs.

E! says The Wanted is headed to California to record their third album and prepare for their upcoming U.S. and England tour later this year. During their time in Los Angeles, they'll be filmed for the show as they live together in the Hollywood HIlls and "take on all that LA. has to offer." The half-hour series, tentatively titled The Wanted Life, will eventually air on E! this June, and then around the world this fall.

"The rock star lifestyle is something that everyone has fantasized about and The Wanted are giving viewers total access into their world as they live out this dream,” said Suzanne Kolb, President, E! "This series is a perfect blend of music, bromance and superstardom chronicling the lives of one of music's biggest groups as they continue to make their mark on the global stage."

As mentioned, the show will be produced by Ryan Seacrest, who's very familiar with E! shows and no stranger to producing successful reality TV series for the network.

“America has a long history of falling for British bad boy musicians, so it’s no surprise that The Wanted are already beloved by legions of fans far and wide,” said Ryan Seacrest, Executive Producer. “This talented and outspoken English-Irish band are setting their own course to fame and this journey is the foundation of the series. It’s a road that’s bound to include irresistible pop tracks along with plenty of humor, antics and drama behind-the-scenes, which I believe will further ignite fascination and even obsession with these guys.”

It sounds like the series will give fans of the group the opportunity to get to know them better and see what they're up to while they're living in California.
