Watch Arrow's Felicity Answer Fan Questions From Her Bathtub
Last week, Arrow teamed up with The Flash in an epic two-night crossover, and tonight is the midseason finale where Oliver Queen will face off against Season 3’s main antagonist Ra’s al Ghul. However, this past weekend gave us another fun Arrow event: a intriguing Q&A with one of the cast. The official Arrow Twitter account posted a video of Emily Bett Rickards, who played computer genius Felicity Smoak, answering fan questions while fully dressed in a bathtub.
Rickards labeled this Q&A the “bathroom therapy” Q&A edition, which is certainly a fitting description. If you’re looking for the scoop on future Arrow plot points, this is not the video for you. Instead, this video had Rickards answering fun questions about the cast while jump-cutting to different positions inside the tub. The questions covered varied subjects like who is most like their character - David Ramsey, who plays John Diggle - to who smells the best (also Ramsey) to who would ruin a weekend at Las Vegas by posting pictures on social media. That last one goes to Paul Blackthorne, who plays Quentin Lance.
Her biggest reveal, however, was answering which of Felicity’s three main love interests she’d want on a deserted island: all three. That may sound like a cop-out, but she has a specific scenario for when each man comes in handy. If the couple is capable of escaping the island, she’d have Barry so that he could run on water and carry her away. If the island was dangerous, she’d want Oliver because he has experience surviving in these conditions. If she was stuck on this island for eternity, but it was safe and pleasant, she’d want to spend her time with Ray Palmer because he probably “would play a wicked game of tic-tac-toe.” Actually, considering how much of a technological genius Ray is, he may be able to go all Gilligan’s Island and build a boat out of coconuts and palm trees so they could escape. So if it were me, I would have to choose him.
Rickards finished the piece by posing questions back to the Arrow fans, like who should play Felicity’s dad and if Roy Harper was Lloyd Dobler (John Cusack’s character from Say Anything) in another life. As fans, we may enjoy getting information on what’s happening in future episodes, but it’s nice to occasionally get fun videos like this. The actors don’t need to worry about accidentally spoiling anything and can just answer the “deeper” questions the fans have on their mind. Maybe with other cast members, we can get more unusual Q&A locales in someone's house, like a closet or an attic.
