Watch Josh Groban Hilariously Sing Donald Trump Tweets On Jimmy Kimmel
Jimmy Kimmel recently took a two week vacation from Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which basically boils down to “Jimmy Kimmel hasn’t made fun of Donald Trump on late night in two weeks.” And while the host often has people reading Mean Tweets about themselves, last night saw him bringing back Josh Groban to sing a string of Trump’s tweets from the past. Check it out!
Leave it to Groban to imbue some soul and weight to Trump’s words, which often don’t seem to come from a place of deep thought or contemplation, although at least he grasps that “Fuckface Von Clownstick” is his saintly name. (Or maybe he didn’t.) It’s rather amusing to hear Groban singing “losers and haters” multiple times, and it makes one wonder just how many of Trump’s followers are doing so specifically to hate on him, or who is just there to see what he thinks about former Hollywood power couples like Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
All in all, I’d probably buy an album, or at least a video compilation, of Groban singing Trump’s entire Twitter history. While it’s lately just been political campaigning, he still manages to sneak in some snark against Fox News, fat people and dummies, and I’d rather hear the dulcet tones of Groban putting it out there. If Trump actually becomes POTUS one day, I’d shell out for a subscription service where a new Groban video comes to my door once a month.
That was hardly the only segment of the episode that Kimmel dedicated to trashing Trump, which may lend a certain amount of legitimacy to Jay Leno’s recent claims that Kimmel’s meanness is what keeps him down in the ratings. Kimmel talked a bit about Trump’s red “Make America Great Again” hat in his opening monologue – a hat that is being sold at $25 a pop – and poked fun at the candidate’s recent trip to the Iowa State Fair. But the big guns came out – and I’m not talking about Halle Berry’s see-through shirt and bra – when the show referenced Trump recently saying that he was Batman to a young boy, and they did it in the best way possible: by actually making Donald Trump Batman. It. Is. Glorious.
Trump as Batman for President! Tune into Jimmy Kimmel Live! every weeknight for more Tweet-and-Trump-related shenanigans.
