Watch Simon Cowell Advertise For Best The X Factor Judge
By the time the election rolls around, hearing more political types of advertisements is usually the last thing I’m excited about, especially in California, where Proposition advertisements rule the local air space. However, Fox’s The X Factor has taken the idea of negative campaigning and turned it into a humorous advertisement celebrating all things Simon Cowell, and poking fun at Fox’s messed up primetime schedule.
The “Simon Cowell: Best Judge Ever” video takes note of the various weird face judges Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, and L.A. Reid contort into during episodes of the show, while simultaneously making fun of their personality quirks. Cowell also gets poked fun of for “caring about himself 100%,” which is certainly a spot-on assessment.
It’s nice to see the guys behind The X Factor still have their sense of humor, especially after Fox botched the popular singing competition show in favor of baseball, not once, but on multiple occasions over the past couple of weeks. The video still kind of reminds me of how upset I am with Fox, but it does loosen the tension a little, and makes me even more excited for the upcoming live shows, which will be hosted by Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez. Besides, at least we know The X Factor will be returning for Season 3.
As the video's disclaimer notes, "If [there's] no baseball" The X Factor will return Thursday, November 1 at 8 p.m. ET.
