Watch Thor And Wolverine Play Musical Beers On The Tonight Show
Never before has a children’s game carried with it the amount of celebrity synergy that comes with Musical Beers on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. For this latest contest, Jimmy Fallon brought two sides of Marvel cinema together with Chris “Thor” Hemsworth and Hugh “Wolverine” Jackman, and then sprinkled some Saturday Night Live on top in the form of Kate McKinnon, Colin Jost and Bobby Moynihan. Check it out!
I’m pretty sure that no children’s game has ever been played with this much sloppiness. Granted, they are playing with beer, which is rarely something that provides hardcore stability in any situation, but it’s not like they’re all shitfaced when the game starts. Then also, this is Jimmy Fallon, who I’m fairly certain doesn’t quite grasp what host-to-guest sportsmanship is. He has to win.
The only one who clearly gives a shit about the integrity of Musical Beers is Questlove, who takes measures making sure that Jessie J.’s “Bang Bang” confuses the hell out of all the players. He tricked me a few times, even. I’d say that Hemsworth and Jackman were in the running for that, but no one wearing a mullet wig can legitimately claim integrity. “Business up front, and the party’s on Asgard!”
Hemsworth is going to be hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend, so maybe he’ll have everyone back on for a rematch. And instead of beer, they’ll use vodka. And instead of Colin Jost, they invite me to play with them instead. I didn’t get this Celebrity Musical Beers blue ribbon for nothing. (I had to make it myself.)
If you’ll recall, the last time Fallon had guests over for Musical Beers, another Marvel actor was there: Mark “Hulk” Ruffalo. He played along with Stephen Merchant, Steve Higgins and The Roots’ Tariq. Check out that game below.
What will Fallon do next? More flip cup? Beer cups and Ladders? Go Fish with beer cups? Find out when The Tonight Show raids a liquor store and airs every weeknight on NBC.
