Weeds Season 7 Photos, A New Promo, And Abed's Thoughts On The Big C's Emmy Chances
If you’ve forgotten how much there is to love about Weeds’ Nancy Botwin and The Big C’s Cathy, this new promo will serve as a great reminder. We also have some photos from the Season 7 premiere of Weeds, and for Community fans, find out what Abed has to say about The Big C when he cracks the formula for Emmy wins as they relate to comedy series.
Think The Big C has a chance of winning an Emmy for best Comedy Series? Abed Nadir, the most observant of characters on NBC’s Community, is often the one to step back and see the big picture. It’s part of the role he plays in the group of mismatched study pals (who rarely study) on Community. If ever there were a fictional character whose opinion I would trust on matters such as these, it's his. Variety ran an article today, written by “Abed,” analyzing the Emmy’s and if he’s at all right in his “ABBA” formula, The Big C will not only be nominated, but it’ll win:
I recommend heading over to Variety and checking out Abed's full break down of the comedies this year. How he gets to The Big C FTW is very amusing. He may be right about his (typically) cold prediction on where the series is headed, given that the show revolves around a terminally ill character. Regardless (I'm still in the loving-it phase as a fan of The Big C), I certainly wouldn’t complain if The Big C was nominated and won the Emmy this year. However, I also think his article should qualify as worthy for consideration toward Community’s nomination in the Comedy category, regardless of whether or not it’s technically part of the show.
Moving on, here’s the “Bring it On” promo that Showtime posted online today, celebrates some of Nancy and Cathy’s memorable moments from past episodes as we head towards Season 2 of The Big C and Season 7 of Weeds. Both series are set to return on June 27th.
Finally, here are a few photos from the season premiere of Weeds. If nothing more, they prove, whether it’s sweats or a very colorful dress, Mary-Louise Parker looks good in just about anything.
Because it wouldn’t be Weeds without Nancy slurping an iced latte…
