Whitney Season 2 Promo: Hey Whitney!
Those of us waiting for the return of Community still have a while to go before the NBC comedy series returns, but Whitney fans have only to wait until next Wednesday to see the series back on television. After a bit of schedule reshuffling, NBC made room for it on Wednesday nights. (RIP Animal Practice).
Whitney is a 30-minute multi-camera comedy that stars comedian Whitney Cummings and Chris D'Elia as Whitney and Alex, an unmarried couple, happily living together with no desire to get married. The show was supposed to premiere its second season last month and air on Friday nights, but NBC has since rescheduled its premiere date and moved it to Wednesdays. NBC's enthusiastically celebrating the series' return, and by that, I mean they're doing a cheer to the tune of Toni Basil's "Mickey."
Try to get that song out of your head between now and Wednesday!
It looks like fans of the series have even more reason to anticipate the show's return. Jane Kaczmarek is returning to her role as Whitney's mother in next Wednesday's "Bawl and Chain."
The Malcolm in the Middle star's appearance will happen exactly a week after she guest starred in ABC's The Middle, which happens to be the time-slot competition for Whitney. We'll have to see how NBC's comedy does going up against ABC's comedy line-up.
Whitney airs Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC.
