Wilfred Season 2 Preview: Angel And Devil Dogs

There have to be drawbacks to taking advice from a dog… especially when you're the only person who sees that dog as a man in a dog costume. The latest teaser for the second season of FX's comedy series Wilfred has Elijah Wood's character being offered advice from two different versions of Wilfred. Actually, they're not that different.

Wilfred stars Wood and Jason Gann as Ryan and Wilfred respectively. While Ryan is a man with some issues to sort out, Wilfred is a dog who appears to Ryan alone as a man in a dog costume. The comedy series is based on an Australian show by the same name, which also stars and was created by Gann.

Joining the other recently released teasers for Season 2 of Wilfred , comes the "Devil" teaser, which has Ryan being tempted to do something by devil and angel versions of Wilfred, perched atop his shoulders.

I'm going to admit, I wasn't sure at first what exactly these two Wilfreds were trying to persuade Ryan to lick, while he brushed his teeth. And then it occurred to me that it might be a guy thing. Or a dog thing. Both, actually.

Beyond that, it's amusing to see that both the angel and the devil are saying the same thing, which suggests that Wilfred might not be the best influence on Ryan. But he sure is a lot of fun to have around! And we'll have him around soon enough. Wilfred Season 2 is set to premiere on FX on Thursday, June 28 at 10:00 p.m.
