Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On Reality Series Premieres This Sunday Night

Wilson Phillips returned to the spotlight relatively recently, which included a big finish at the end of one of last year’s best comedies. This year, they’re still holding on with a reality show on TV Guide Network called Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On, which documents their efforts to return to the spotlight. The series premiere airs this Sunday night.

?Still Holding On shows singers Wendy & Carnie Wilson and Chynna Phillips as they work together on their comeback, which includes heading back into the studio, as well as traveling for live performances. There’s drama in store as they attempt to prioritize their work with their personal lives. In the case of this Sunday night’s opener (“The Weight is Over”), this focus is on Carnie’s health and weight. A decision is made, which may present a major scheduling conflict with one of the group’s upcoming engagements.

I’ve only seen the first episode, but it looks like we’ll be getting a fair balance of the trio’s work together, including hearing them sing here and there, and their home and family lives, which are naturally a priority for each of them. There are moments that feel a bit staged, but as a fan of the group, but that’s something that may work itself out once they get more settled in with the cameras. In the meantime, it’s great to see some of the behind-the-scenes moments to their comeback.

Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On premieres Sunday, April 8 at 9:00 p.m. ET on TV Guide Network.
