Zombieland Trailer Arrives, Full Pilot To Be Made Available At Amazon

Following word that Amazon has given the official green light to the Zombieland pilot comes a trailer for the potential TV series, which would be available for Amazon Prime subscribers through the service's streaming video feature, should it go to series. Like the film on which this TV project is based, this trailer sells zombies and humor, though I'm not sure it really manages to match the tone of the film, but that may just be the trailer's miss and not a full reflection of the finished product. Or I'm just trying to be optimistic because I really want this comedy to work.

Some sites are reporting that the pilot itself is now available streaming at Amazon. There is a page set up for the pilot, however all I'm seeing is a 12-second coming soon card, so this may just be a place holder for the episode that's coming soon. We haven't heard an official announcement about the pilot's availability, and it's not showing up when you search Amazon for Zombieland, which makes me think we might be a bit early to this party.

But we should expect to see the pilot online eventually. Amazon Studios has 13 pilots in development and all of them are expected to be made available online so that customers can view them and post reviews. Update for clarification: You won't need a Prime subscription to view the pilots. They'll be available via Amazon Instant Video. Viewer feedback will help determine which of the projects will go to series to air on Prime Instant Video.Zombieland comes from the film's original creative team, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and producer Gavin Polone. It stars Kirk Ward as Tallahassee, Maiara Walsh as Wichita, Tyler Ross as Columbus and Izabela Vidovic as Little Rock.

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way). She graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Cinema Studies.
